The School's Great Hall and Laboratory are found in this section. The Hatchery is located here, underground, as well as the player's Dragon Stables. This is the main area of the island where the player starts. There are four distinct areas on this island. Many of these buildings were already here when Hiccup first found the island! Vikings used to live on this island, years before the School of Dragons began. A caldera is an old volcano that collapses inwards and leaves a ring of mountains. The location of the School of Dragons was chosen because the island was a caldera. The island was previously inhabited by Vikings, as there are various ruins left behind. The island is an old volcanic caldera, providing fertile soil and geothermic heat utilized for hatching Dragon eggs. School of Dragons island is located Northwest of the Isle of Berk.
